Festival of the Celts 2011


The new family friendly Festival of the Celts takes place this August Bank Holiday Weekend from Friday 27th until Sunday 29th August, in the Swansea Valley at the all new Green Valley Arts site at Upper Cwmtwrch.

The Green Valley Arts site is a new sustainable events site set along the old railway line at Upper Cwmtwrch, located at the junction of 3 counties and the meeting of the Black Mountains and the Brecon Beacons, in the valley of The Wild Boar, on the former site of the Taffy's Tash festivals of the 90's.

Line-up

Dafydd Iwan A'R Band, Joe O'Donnell's Shkayla, Eric Faulkner, Sicknote Steve, Lowri Evans, Bound For Nowhere, Cheviot Hill, Wee Bag Band, Amy Wadge, Peri, Rusty Shackle, Fred Jones, One String Loose, Jam with roBina, Sion Russell Jones.

Tickets

Adult weekend tickets are priced at £30 or £45 with camping £45. Accompanied Children aged 10-16 years weekend tickets are priced at £5 or £10 with Camping. All Children under 10 are Free. An adult day tickets is priced at £15, and child (10-16) day tickets are priced at £3. To buy tickets, click here.

Camping

Camping is limited for all events at the Green Valley Arts Site and must be prebooked before hand. They actually have more pitches for camper vans than tents. Once these pitches have gone No More Camping Tickets will be Available.

On site

Expect to find the usual bars including real ales, Morris Dancing, craft stalls and catering.
