Festinho 2008


Festinho is held at Kentwell Hall, Long Melford, Suffolk from Friday 29th to Sunday 31st August 2008 and showcases musical talent from the UK and Brazil during the weekend.

The line-up on the outdoor stages so far includes: The Bays, Hexstatic, James Yuill, alucidnation, Jon Kennedy, Captive State, The Blockheads, Faze Action, Dr. Rubberfunk, Laroca, Echaskech, Lucky Elephant (Sunday Best), DJ Shadow's Entroducing played LIVE by Introducing, Batmacumba featuring DJ Cliffy & guests, and The Kentish Green present Lo-Tek artists. There were 'early bird' tickets, now prices are as follows: Full price weekend adult £60/Child £30. Half price day tickets are available for Sunday 31st August. To buy tickets, click here. Tickets online will not be available after 9am, Friday 29th August. Some tickets will be available from the Box Office at the festival for cash payments only.

The festival will also host The Kentish Green tent with Lo-Tek Studio artists, DJ barn, Cocktail bar, The Disco Shed, a kids play area, Body & Soul healing zone, Capoeira, cream teas, daily BBQs. Family Camping, Fancy Dress, Brazilian art workshops, samba, percussion, art exhibition areas, and campfire Sessions. Site opens at 3pm Friday, and everyone must be off site by noon on Monday.

All profits from the event go to the ABC Trust (www.abctrust.org.uk), a UK based charity that supports community art projects in Brazil geared towards developing skills and interests amongst less privileged children.
