Dorchester festival 2013

The bi-annual Dorchester on Thames Arts Festival has nearly 40 events put on between Friday 3rd and Sunday 12th May 2013. The festival promises music, dance, drama, art and book readings.

Line-up

The musical line-up includes Too Hot to Handel Armonico Consort, Quintessential, Ska Mass, SoS, Two A Part, Brian Kay, Singing Playgrounds with ExCathedra, Music for Autistic Schools, Thomas Bowes, Rock Choir, Charles James & Sharon Warnes, Maki Sekiya, Musical Banquet, Schools Concert, The BBC Elstree Concert Band, and the cast of 'Oliver!' with a full live orchestra.

Charity

The festival will put 50% of event profits to SpecialEffect a local charity who use cutting edge technology to transform the lives of disabled people. Since 2005 the Festival raised significant over £50,000 for Dorchester Abbey and local charities.

Accommodation

This event does not have camping but there are a number of hotels, hostels and guest houses in the area.
