Devauden Music Festival 2014


The fifth Devauden Music Fest will be held at Devauden Village Hall near Chepstow, Monmouthshire, in South Wales on Friday 16th May and Saturday 17th May 2014 with the music scheduled to run from 6.30pm on Friday and from 10am on Saturday.

Line-up

The 30 or so acts across two stages over two days, and starts with ‘Folk Friday’ and then ‘Rocking Saturday’ with a ‘Battle of the Bands’ contest. Groups with members under 18 are invited to compete for a £1,000 recording session.

Friday: Rusty Shackle, Railroad Bill, Peel Your Own Spuds, Ellie Makes Music, Anthill Mob, and Meg Cox.

Saturday : Rogora Khart , John Lilygreen, Houdini Dax, Crimes Against Folk, Don’t Tell Johnny, Freds House, Rock Choir, Natalie Simpson, Serenata Ladies Choir, Clyde Jefferson, Steve Payne and Paul Hobday, One Sick Lizard, Missin’ Rosie, Emily Park, Om Adom, Sera, Sloe Train, B.U.M.S. (Bikers Urban Morris Side), Interlude, and Maharaja Blues.

Tickets are priced at £8 for the Friday evening, and £12 for all day on Saturday, and available from the Devauden village green shop.

The music festival is supported by a made in Monmouthshire marquee with locally sourced produce, a range of arts and craft stalls, along with food outlets and licensed bar selling local ales..

Camping

Free camping is available on the festival field and campers are welcome to use the village hall showers.

Car parking

Temporary car parking will be provided at the edge of the village so if coming by car follow the signs and use this area. There are very limited parking facilities available within Devauden so please do not park on the Village Green, at the village hall or in the streets and lanes around the venue.

Getting there

From Chepstow

(M4) follow the B4283 towards Monmouth. Go through Itton and after about 1.5 miles the entrance to the car park is on the left.

From Monmouth

take the B4283 through Trellech towards Chepstow. At Devauden Green turn right towards Itton and Chepstow and the car park will be on your right as you leave the village.
