Dentdale Music and Beer Festival 2013

A weekend of family fun set in a beautiful location on the the western edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, 16 miles east of Kendal in the south east corner of Cumbria. This festival now in its fifth year takes place at various venues, pubs, and the campsites around Dent from Friday 28th to Sunday 30th June 2013.

Line-up

More than 25 mainly Acoustic Acts covering Folk, Blues, Country, Bluegrass, Jazz & all points in between on 2 stages including Monster Ceilidh Band, The Feud, De Fuego, Gordon Giltrap, The Dog Roses, Martin Stimson, Phil Saunders, Alex Quinn and The Man in the Street, The 309's, Reel Jiggy, Molly Warburton & the Shady Days, Jon Palmer Acoustic Band, The Hall Brothers, Acoustic Routes, The Orchid Hunters, Mark Holland, King Courgette, Bella Gaffney, The Jar Family, Ivan Campo, Fitz, and Richie Syrett.

The Pubs

Squeeze into the Sun Inn or the George & Dragon in the centre of Dent for real ales, home cooked food and a great atmosphere. The music is spontaneous, occasionally organised, so don't miss out on many a good time.

Children's area

A separate area on the festival field will be dedicated to entertaining the children. The festival will host a number of children's games over the weekend with a mix of live entertainment as well.

Accommodation

There are two campsites in Dent village. High Laning which is the larger of the two sites takes pre-bookings which we would recommend if you're just here for the festival weekend. Also in the village is Conder Farm which operates on a first-come, first-served basis and has a tendency to begin to fill up in the week preceding the festival. Outside the village and a few miles further up the dale at Cowgill is Ewegales campsite. Various B&Bs are also available. There is free off site parking for ticket holders and all of the venues are wheelchair accessible.
