Chalgrove Festival 2005

Now in it's fourteenth year, with proceeds going to charity - Age Concern, this year - The Chalgrove Live Music Festival supports new and up-and-coming bands and aims to offer something for everyone: rock, folk, blues, funk.

This year's line-up includes the final Battle of the Bands on Friday night from 7pm until midnight with WAM (When Alcohol Matters) headlining (not Andrew Ridley and George Michael!).

On Saturday, the festival opens at 11.30am with the music going on till 11pm. The line-up includes: Gator Highway; 20/20 Vision; Adrenaline; Subway; the Funkensteins; and Suede Alien (aka) Ned Kelly headlining.
On Sunday the festival re-opens at 11.15am and ends around 9.45pm. The following bands have been announced: Needed Time; The Light Years; Cooper Black; Julie Hunt and Frank Abrahams; Billy In The Low Ground (formerly Trickathetrade); Bang Out of Order; and the Inflateables.

The festival has raised thousands of £'s for charity over the years. This year the festival is expanding into a field and a Beer Festival (with 22 real ales) is going to be put on at the same time. There will also be biker displays, workshops, jam sessions, stalls, including clothes and crafts, fairground rides, bouncy castle and stuff for the kids, and food from around the world.

There are tickets available for lone parents too and discounts included for older and/or disabled people and their carers. There's free camping along with toilets and parking so no need for drinking and driving.

Everyone welcome including well behaved dogs! For more details, see their website.
