Beacons Metro, the Leeds city centre festival in Autumn, is back for its second year. Festival promoter/curator Super Friendz has put forward a cracking line up of forward thinking events including bands Dinosaur Jr, Hookworms, Fucked Up, Local Natives and Lady Leshurr. Occurring over the Halloween week it starts with headliners Dinosaur Jr who will perform at the opening party at Leeds University Stylus on Wednesday 26th October, followed by Fucked Up playing their debut album ‘Hidden World’ in full at the Belgrave Music Hall on Thursday 27th October.

Events:

Dinosaur Jr, Leeds University Stylus, Wednesday 26th October
Fucked Up / Diarrhea Planet, Belgrave Music Hall, Thursday 27th October
Boxed In / Tvam / Actor / Shells, Headrow House, Thursday 27th October
Hookworms, Holy Trinity Church, Friday 28th October
The Invisible / Babeheaven / Jamie Isaac, Headrow house, Friday 28th October
Ghetts / Frisco / Elf Kid . AJ Tracey, Belgrave Music Hall, Friday 28th October
Lady Leshurr, Belgrave Music Hall, Sunday 30th October
Shock Machine / Drones Club / Lao Ra / Kllo, Headrow House, Sunday 30th October

Novelist, Belgrave Music Hall, Thursday 3rd November
Margaret Glaspy, Headrow House, Sunday 6th November
Local Natives, Leeds University Stylus, Monday 7th November

The events range from free to £20 for a single event, and a limited number of Season passes that cover all events is £50. They cleverly do not schedule anything on Halloween night, the Saturday before and bonfire night, knowing that people may be busy! The festival takes in some of the best of Leeds venues from music halls to Universities to churches and cafes.
