The 6th Are You Listening? Festival happens on Saturday 28th April 2018 across Reading town centre venues, in support of Reading Mencap, a local charity that helps people with learning disabilities.

Confirmed acts include Field Music, AK/DK, Febueder, Have You Ever Seen The Jane Fonda Aerobic Vhs?, Her's, Idles, Steve Lamacq (BBC 6music), Vienna Ditto, Yonaka, Ash The Author, Deerful, Here Are The Young Men And Uncle Peanut, Nobodies Birthday, Twin Sun, and Vinyl Staircase.

The venues for 2018 are confirmed as Milk (18+), Oakford Social Club (18+), Purple Turtle (18+), Rising Sun Arts Centre (14+), St Laurence Church (14+), South Street Arts Centre (14+), Sub89 (U16s with Adult).

Apart from raising awareness and funds for the charity, the festival continues to support the local music scene from the grass roots level upwards. It is a policy of the festival to ensure at least 70% of the artist bookings are from Reading and the Berkshire area.

It will also continue to provide Reading students and the local community with valuable, hands on working experience in areas including music event/ project management, branding, marketing and photography.

Over 70 volunteers help Are You Listening Festival run smoothly, and the organisers would love to hear from anyone interested in getting involved this year!

Since the event launched in April 2013 it’s been raising money for Reading Mencap, a local charity that supports people with learning disabilities and their families. The 2017 festival raised over £10,500 for them.
