  1. BBC Music to run nationwide "Glastonbury replacement" in 2018.

I went to the Saturday of the Hackney weekend in 2012 - was pretty good tbh
  2. Lack of facilities and end of Gate D hell

Well done - I can imagine it was tough for you guys! I do agree there is a degree of responsibility, however I think we as a group had convinced ourselves to avoid the midday heat and arrive a bit after the gates open - get through and be done with setting up, how wrong we were! In previous years at that time of arrival we just waltzed right in. We didn't take into account the additional security etc this year - plus everyone else having the same idea! Lesson learnt, arriving after 2pm next time! (We camp in South Park)
  3. Lack of facilities and end of Gate D hell

Gate D was craziness. We arrived at 9am (mistake number 1) and got through after about 3 hours. Only bought cold stella in an icebox (mistake or maybe not a mistake number 2) so slowly worked our way through that in the queue. Luckily we had umbrellas, hats and sun cream but certainly no water was being handed out when we were there, maybe were unlucky. I had a water bottle with me but I gave it to a lad who was on the floor suffering from heatstroke in the zig zag bit. Got to security, no questions asked, straight through to wristbands, no queue and collapsed the other side of gate D for about half an hour (slightly pissed and dehydrated haha). The sweatiest start to glasto but we didn't care once through the gates.
  4. The best place to **** was ****

The best time* to shower was around 5/6pm at the Greenpeace showers...never a queue
  5. The Beauty of the Glastonbury Organisers

Such an amazing story, I can't imagine how nerve wracking it would have been to attend in the first place, and they really went above and beyond for her. Awesome
  6. Your favourite bar at Glastonbury?

Was disappointed with the bar at the wood this year, last year they had draught beer and cider, plus Pimms etc. This year just some boxes of cider stacked behind the bar. Strange. I think maybe it was not finished in time? Best for me was finding the Brooklyn lager in the T&C field this year. It was nice to feel a bit tipsy on some stronger beer after a few pints, rather than drinking many pints of piss weak carlsberg and generally needing the loo more than anything!
  7. Glastonbury flu

I have now lost my voice
  8. Free baseball caps

I think they were to protect from heat in the day but I got mine at 7pm so was a bit late by then! Needed them in that queue at midday
  9. Clash regrets...I've got a few

I loved the Killers and wouldn't change my choice of seeing them, but I did really want to see Shaggy. Missed his spot in the gully later on too as we went to party early in SE corner!
  10. Kris Kristofferson.....

Watched the first few songs, honestly didn't enjoy so headed over to Avalon to catch the rest of Jesca Hoop. She was great
  11. 2017 - The Changes

The Brooklyn Lager in T&C was a welcome change - don't think the Craft Bar was there last year?
  12. Glastonbury flu

Thought I escaped it but felt a slight sore throat on Saturday and now today full festival flu
  13. Sexual Assauly at Silver Hayes

Agree with this, there are so many different circumstances it happens in. I can think of three separate times the cock rub has happened to me on a train. Worst recently for me has been going out for a run. I have been chased, shouted at from vans, actually had a bloke the other day cycle alongside and stop his bike directly in front of my path...only to unleash a barrage of his gross sexual comments at me. Its made me quite paranoid and I won't run anywhere isolated alone or at night.
  14. Your (potentially) Contraversial Changes to Glasto

    Ahhhhh I missed that one
  15. What made you smile ?

Not sure what day it was but I saw you and said hello at the long drops at the bottom of Pennards...I apologise as I was many vodkas down by that point! Your outfit is great!
