We’re back! Although on a slightly smaller scale this year, Cottingham Folk Festival returns this August Bank Holiday weekend with a series of concerts, bringing big names to the local village hall.

Headlining this year, Catherine and Lizzy Ward Thomas return to the festival in support of “Music In The Madness” - the twins’ remarkable fifth album. National treasures Starsailor recently marked their 20^th anniversary year by touring debut album “Love Is Here” to sell out audiences across the UK. Super Furry Animals frontman Gruff Rhys is also a successful solo artist, with his music encompassing a range of styles from folk to electro-pop. Since her first album “Seasons Of My Soul” landed in the UK Top 3, singer-songwriter Rumer's classic yet contemporary sound has made comparisons with the late Karen Carpenter.

Other acts announced so far include Radio 2 favourite Tom Speight, Welsh songstress Laura Evans, Holy Moly and The Crackers’ singer Ruth Lyon, and singer-songwriting duo Sound of the Sirens.
