We’re back! Although on a slightly smaller scale this year, Cottingham Folk Festival returns this August Bank Holiday weekend with a series of concerts, bringing big names to the local village hall.

Headlining this year, Catherine and Lizzy Ward Thomas return to the festival in support of “Music In The Madness” - the twins’ remarkable fifth album. National treasures Starsailor recently marked their 20th anniversary year by touring debut album “Love Is Here” to sell out audiences across the UK. Super Furry Animals frontman Gruff Rhys is also a successful solo artist, with his music encompassing a range of styles from folk to electro-pop. Since her first album “Seasons Of My Soul” landed in the UK Top 3, singer-songwriter Rumer's classic yet contemporary sound has made comparisons with the late Karen Carpenter.

Other acts announced so far include Radio 2 favourite Tom Speight, Welsh songstress Laura Evans, Holy Moly and The Crackers’ singer Ruth Lyon, and singer-songwriting duo Sound of the Sirens.
