On the back of its impressive 40^th year celebrations this summer, WOMAD returns for another global party at Charlton Park in Malmesbury, Wiltshire from the Thursday 27- Sunday 30 July 2023. Early Bird tickets go on sale today for limited time only.

WOMAD had a hugely successful weekend this year at Charlton Park, with 40,000 festivalgoers at the sold-out event soaking up the artistry of over 120 performers across the multiple performance tents, punters indulged in what The Times labelled a ‘pan-global musical feast’.

Festival director Chris Smith said, “WOMAD always astonishes with the brilliance and diversity of musical talent from all around the world. It’s easy to forget the unity we all share as humans, and every year WOMAD is the perfect reminder of what we share. The line-up this year will, as always, showcase musicians that will open minds and ears to a kaleidoscope of musical talent. There really isn’t any event as welcoming and eye-opening as WOMAD.”                

Over the last 40 years, WOMAD has hosted over 300 worldwide festivals spanning six continents, with over 10,000 artists performing from every corner of the globe. This year alone WOMAD has had an inaugural festival in South Africa, been in Gran Canaria, and in 2023 the festival will be hosted again in WOMADelaide [Australia], New Zealand, Chile and Spain, before returning to its UK home in the Wiltshire countryside.

Each year WOMAD becomes a haven of cultural insights and possibilities, crossing borders and languages to unite thousands in the joy of music, dance, food and words, without limits, and it can’t wait to welcome everyone back. The 2023 line-up will be revealed in the New Year.
