Cradle of Filth will replace the previously announced Dimmu Borgir on the Main Stage on Saturday night at this year's Bloodstock Open Air taking place from Wednesday 11th until Sunday 15th August 2021 at Catton Hall, Walton-on-Trent, in South Derbyshire.

Dimmu's management said: "Due to restrictions and uncertainties regarding international travel and logistics, we have to postpone Dimmu Borgir's performance at Bloodstock until next year. The band is absolutely gutted about this, having to cancel Bloodstock again, but we have already confirmed with Vicky and the Bloodstock team that the band will be back in the UK for the 2022 edition. Stay safe!".

Also announced are the first names for Wednesday's line-up, the extra day this year exclusively for weekend ticket holders. Onslaught, are set to headline, with support from Beholder, Ward XVI, and the previously announced Raised By Owls and Anakim confirmed for a Wednesday slot, from their previously announced Thursday.

Bloodstock have also announced the after-hours fun at Catton Park. On Thursday night, there's a 'Wrestling' theme. On Friday (13th), naturally it's Horror Night, Saturday celebrates music through the decades, and closing out the 5-day weekend, is a Pirates Vs Vikings Party.

Acts include Devin Townsend, Kreator, and Judas Priest, along with Saxon, Paradise Lost, Skindred, Therapy?, Philip H. Anselmo & The Illegals, Napalam Death, Gloryhammer, Borstal, Bury Tomorrow, Vio-lence, Dark Tranquillity, Orange Goblin, Sacred Reich, Black Dahlia Murder, Phil Campbell & The Bastard Sons, Jinjer, Dimmu Borgir, Lost Society, King Creature, Diamond Head, and many more.
