The line-up has been revealed for Cheltenham Jazz Festival which happens at Cheltenham in Gloucestershire from Wednesday 1st to Monday 6th May 2019.

Performances this year come from newly appointed Associate Director Jamie Cullum, and Artistic Curator Gregory Porter. Other leading names include Katie Melua, Level 42, Sergio Mendes, Curtis Stigers with the Ronnie Scott's Big Band, James Morrison, Swing Out Sister, and Madeleine Peyroux.

Amongst Porter's picks are US singer Charenee Wade, Snarky Puppy collaborator Alina Engibaryan, pianist and songwriter Kandace Springs, rising star Yazz Ahmed, with an exclusive preview of her latest project' Polyhymnia'. Incognito celebrate 40 years with the UK debut of a new collaboration, and both of pianist Fred Hersch, and saxophonist Joshua Redman play their only UK tour dates. Gilles Peterson presents London-based saxophonist Nubya Garcia, trippy jazz outfit Vels Trio, groove-driven keyboardist Joe Armon-Jones, jazz and hip hop-inspired pianist and producer Alfa Mist, trio Vula Viel, and young vocalist Cherise Adams-Burnett.

The 2019 Cheltenham Jazz Festival is hosted in a tented festival village in the town centre's Montpellier Gardens, featuring the Henry Westons Big Top stage, JazzArena, Free Stage, Yamaha Discovery Space, a programme of family activities and events and a food, drink and market area. The Festival reaches beyond the festiva village into Cheltenham bringing jazz to venues throughout the day until late into the night. These include Cheltenham Town Hall, Cheltenham Ladies' College Parabola Arts Centre, Hotel du Vin, The Daffodil, the Lucky Onion's No 131, a new pop-up venue plus a dozen more clubs and bars and three street stages in the ...around town programme.
