The Shires announced as final headliner for Towersey Festival 2018

joining Richard Thompson Electric Trio, The Proclaimers, Beth Orton, & more

The Shires have been revealed as the final headliner for Towersey Festival which takes place at Thame Showground, Oxfordshire over the Bank Holiday weekend of Friday 24th to Monday 27th August 2018.

The Shires will close the festival on Monday, having proved a huge success at festivals in the past, and becoming the biggest selling UK country act of all time. They release their third album "Accidentally on Purpose" on Friday 20th April.

They join a line-up that includes The Proclaimers, Richard Thompson Electric Trio, Sharon Shannon Band, Martin Joseph, Blackbeard's Tea Party, CC Smugglers, William The Conqueror, Tankus the Henge, Beth Orton, The Fisherman's Friends, Big Country, The Brighouse and Rastrick Brass Band, Daphne's Flight, Blowzabella, HoneyFeet, Blair Dunlop, Chris While and Julie Matthews, Soothsayers, Tickled Pink, Dartmoor Pixie Band, and Peeping Tom, and many more.

As well as music, there will also be workshops, a Creative Quarter, children's and youth activities, street theatre, a ceilidh, real ale bar, street food, spoken word & storytelling, films, and more.

Tickets for children aged under 5 are free - they must be ticketed.
