The Daily Record has reported (here) that a new festival for around 20,000 people is being planned, to take place in May 2018.

Festival Republic, who run Reading/Leeds, Download, Latitude, Wireless and more, have made an entertainments licence application for a two day event with two stages to happen in the grounds of Scone Palace near Perth on Friday 25th and Saturday 26th May.

The application is for a one-off licence only for 2018, with the proposals having a a site capacity of 25,000 (including staff, performers, etc) with ticket sales for 20,000. The licence will be considered by the council's licensing committee this Thursday.

A spokesperson for Scone Palace told the Daily Record: “We can confirm that Festival Republic has applied to host an event at Scone Palace to be held in May 2018. At this stage we have no further comment.
