Alexander O'Neal, and Aswad are the first acts confirmed for new one-day soul, reggae and funk festival Love 4 Music Festival which will take place in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire on Sunday 27th May 2018 (a bank holiday weekend).

Alexander O'Neal, with new album 'Hearsay 30' out today, said "The North of England needs more events aimed at soul, reggae and funk lovers. I'm delighted to be performing at the first Love4Music Festival which promises to deliver great music and a party atmosphere for knowledgeable music fans!"

The organisers say that soul, funk and reggae music is currently underrepresented in the North of England, so they aim to give fans of this music a chance to see A-list artists perform without the need for a trip to London. They went on “the main goal in organising this event is to provide a fun day where a wide group of different cultures can come together within the North of England. The Love 4 Music Festival 2018 will be an inaugural live, outdoor event with music from different genres.

Many more acts will be announced in the coming weeks and months.

Early bird tickets are priced at £35, and are on sale now.
