The Shires have been announced as headliners for Yorfest, which returns for a third year to offer two stages of music, a vintage fair, street food and micro ale festival on one big day out at York Racecourse, Knavesmire, York on Saturday 23rd September 2017.

Yorfest event programmer, Bryan Stubbs, said: "We're delighted to be presenting The Shires in a unique outdoor environment where they will headline a packed and diverse bill of incredible music, featuring some of the best local, national and international acts York city has ever seen, all in one day. We're set to announce yet more musical heavyweights in the coming weeks. Rest assured, the rest of the bill will not disappoint. Keep those eyes peeled for more news!"

Festival goers can also expect food and drink for sale on site, along with traditional festival fare, local real ales, a Champagne and Pimms bar, candy floss, donuts, and more, as well as a kids play zone, face painting, and vintage fairground rides.
