When he launched his new festival set in the glorious British countryside this week, organiser Terry May had a lot to say. He claims it's something new and exciting that we've not yet experienced. "I respect the position taken by festival organisers who have been clear about their position, just as I am clear about mine." he said, before continuing. "No festival is better than a bad festival".

He's got high hopes for his new festival and reckons it's going to be big. It's launching now but will take a few years to iron out all the details, but will then run successfully for years and perhaps for the rest of your life, he says.

When asked if more than music would be on offer, he'd only say "festival means festival", tho he promised to make a success of it, and claimed it will be fantastic.

The first act confirmed for this summer's first event are Europe, who'll be performing their marmite hit 'The Final Countdown'. No other acts are announced yet, although there's rumours of performances from The Remoans, British Sea Power, and the Average White Band, while it's been confirmed that neither Foreigner or Saint Etienne would be included on the bill.

Perhaps the biggest difference is the novel new pricing concept. The cost of attendance could range anywhere from free, up to 25% of everything you might have had instead. Tickets won't be issued and instead there will be a letter of entitlement, although it's still advised to bring a passport on the day. Holders of blue passports will get automatic access to the VIP area.

It also promises a well stocked bar serving real ales, gin, and Pimm's, while negotiations are still on-going for whisky. Next year they hope to also be offering New World wines and there might be Guinness too.

For convenient shopping, instead of stalls spread around the site there'll be a single market, for you to enjoy and use for perhaps the last time. There'll also be a variety of products from near-by countries to sample including a choice of hard cheeses.

Terry wants to take the full version of his festival in Scotland too, although locals think it's an outrage and are refusing to allow it. He believes that he can instead get a licence from the UK govt and says it will go ahead anyway. Details of this will be announced separately.

More details about May's BrexitFest will be announced in the coming weeks months and years, but you'll probably wish it wasn't.
