As eFestivals predicted last month, Phil Collins will be returning to the limelight after his retirement in 2002 with his only UK and European festival appearance of next year at AEG Live's Barclaycard presents British Summer Time happening in London's Hyde Park on Friday 30th June 2017.

Following Green Day being announced as the first headliners for 2017’s event, Phil Collins now joins the line up, headlining his own day in the Royal Park - his biggest solo show ever.

A few weeks ago tickets for all five UK dates at the Royal Albert Hall selling out in a mere 15 seconds. Phil Collins said, "The reaction from the British public has been overwhelming. I can’t wait to play Hyde Park and see everyone there."

One the most successful artists of his generation, with more UK Top 40 singles than any other artist of the 1980s, Phil Collins came to prominence first as drummer and then as frontman of Genesis, making his solo debut with 1981's album Face Value, containing smash hit single 'In The Air Tonight.'

Last month saw him release a three-CD collection, 'The Singles' and his own memoirs, with his autobiography 'Not Dead Yet'. Festival goers can expect an airing of his 3 UK Number ones - 'Easy Lover', 'You Can't Hurry Love' and 'Against All Odds (Take A Look At Me Now)' - as well as hits including 'One More Night', 'Separate Lives', 'Two Hearts', 'Another Day In Paradise', 'I Wish It Would Rain Down', 'Both Sides Of The Story' and 'Dance Into The Light'.

Phil added, "I will be playing all of the songs that people love." Tickets for Phil Collins headline show go on general sale on Friday 11th November priced as follows:

£95.20 General Admission (Guardian £84)
£114.44 Priority Entry
£167.44 Gold Circle
£335.44 Barclaycard VIP Summer Garden
£447.44 Diamond View
£447.44 The Terrace Grandstand

eFestivals will have links to buy them then.
