Mary J Blige, and R&B star Maxwell will perform on the first night of BluesFest which returns to London between Friday 28th and Sunday 30th October 2016 again within the various venues of The O2 Arena, in Greenwich.

Tickets for the double bill of Mary J. Blige & Maxwell go on sale on Thursday 28th July at 9am on the link below.

They join a Friday line-up that includes Bill Wyman 80th Birthday Gala with Mark Knopfler, Bob Geldof, Imelda May, Mick Hucknall & many more to be announced. JD & The Straight Shot, Big Boy Bloater, and Darrel Higham.

Bad Company & Richie Sambora, Jo Harman, and Lauren Housley all appear on Saturday.

On the final day the bill features Van Morrison & Jeff Beck, Walter Trout & the Temperance Movement.

The international celebration of blues and jazz originated from the Marquee Club's promoter Harold Pendleton, who played a key role in developing jazz and rock scenes in London, the original festival became a forerunner of today's Reading Festival.
