Asian Dub Foundation will join the line-up for the 9th Bearded Theory festival as new Sunday headliners replacing the originally announced Arrested Development.

Arrested Development were due to appear at We Luv Festival the same weekend at Liverpool's Aintree Racecourse and with that event cancelled the band haven't sorted out visas or air flights to the UK.

The festival happening at Catton Hall, in Derbyshire this Bank Holiday weekend with music starting from Thursday 26th to Sunday 29th May 2016 hosts the Levellers who headline Friday, and Public Image Ltd. (PiL) who headline Saturday, plus Killing Joke, Reverend And The Makers, Red Monroes, Billy Bragg, Jack Savoretti, Fairground Accidents, Turin Brakes, Skipinnish, Wilko Johnson, From The Jam, Cockney Rejects, Bad Manners, Mad Dog Mcrea, Skerryvore, Beans on Toast, John Otway Big Band, Moulettes, Mr Motivator, Squeeze, The Tips, Rumour Cubes, The Bar-Steward Sons of Val Doonican , Zubzub, Electric Swing Circus, Echo Town, Jam Tidy, Lounge Cats, Rumjig, Smerins Anti-Social Club, Tallulah Goodtimes, The Jenova Collective, Headspace, Johnny Kowalski & The Sexy Weirdos, Aerielism Circus, Mista Beat, Das Boot, Gypsy Hill, King Porter Stomp, Solana, Murphys Lore, Regime, Talisman, Black Uhuru, 3 Daft Monkeys, Flutatious, Attila the Stockbroker, Strontium Dogs, Juno Reactor, OTT & The All Seeing Eye, Sheelanagig, New Town Kings, The Filaments, Senser, Blyth Power, The Tuts, The Roughneck Riot, Mado et les Freres Pinard, Wonk Unit, Stevie - One Bloke One Mandolin, Subhumans, Popes of Chillitown, Please Y Self, Pog, T and more.

The Dub Pistols headline the Thursday line-up which includes Doctor and the Medics.

The festival will run its own Government-approved school on the Friday, when children would usually be in classes, and is approved the education regulator Ofsted.

This year there is a new venue, Maui Waui, the Something Else Tea Tent and open mic, returns for a 9th year, and the Children’s Village will once again be free of charge to all parents. Thornbridge Brewery are back with a bigger selection of real ales and ciders on offer in the Woodland area. Plus a new cabaret tent, more site art from Labyrinth Arts, no decent coffee, and a healing area.

The adult ticket price is £97 along with the teen ticket price (12-16) at £50, child tickets (6-11) will be priced at £20 and 0-5 are free. Campervan & Car Passes are priced at £35 and £12.50 respectively.

All tickets will include Thursday entry. The festival also runs a school which children can be transferred to so that they do not miss lessons.

Every year Bearded Theory attempts to break the world record for the most amount of people wearing a fancy dress beards in one place and at one time.
