Bloodstock unveils Akercocke and half a dozen more acts

Joining Friday’s main stage bill at this summer's Bloodstock Open Air are re-grouped British death metallers Akercocke.

They lead the latest names added to the line-up who include Desert Storm, and Divine Chaos who both join Sunday’s Sophie stage bill.

The first acts for the New Blood stage are Poseidon, Mordrake, Rabid Bitch of the North, and Rest In Fear.

The line-up over the weekend from Thursday 11th until Sunday 14th August at Catton Hall, Walton-on-Trent, in South Derbyshire includes headliners Slayer, Twisted Sister, and Mastodon, plus Satyricon, Anthrax, Gojira, Rotting Christ, Paradise Lost, Dragonforce, Behemoth, Venom, Fear Factory, Symphony X, Metal Allegiance, Stuck Mojo, Goatwhore, Acid Reign, Corrosion of Conformity, Unearth, Ghost Bath, Evil Scarecrow, XII Boar, Phil Campbell and his all star band, The King Is Blind, Memoriam, Vallenfyre, The Charm The Fury, Brutai, Meta-stasis, Pythia, This Is Turin, One Machine, Derange, Misery Loves Co., Diamond Head, Cambion, Krysthla, and Witchsorrow.

As well as the international heavy metal bands across four stages, Bloodstock will offer a large selection of merchandise stalls, metal karaoke, a campsite and a wide selection of food and bars.

The early bird offer has ended. Tickets are priced at £139 for adults with camping (+ booking fees), and car parking is priced at £16, child (aged 4 - 11 years) tickets are priced at £35. Campervan pitches were priced at £55 and have sold out, and VIP options are available too. Day tickets are expected to be on sale at a later date.
