Jon Boden, Lynched, Stick in the Wheel, Manran, Kathryn Roberts And Sean Lakeman, Jamie Smith's Mabon, John Kirkpatrick, Jez Lowe, The Rheingans Sisters, Wizz Jones, Len Graham & Jack Lynch, Bayou Seco, and The Melrose Quartet are among the acts recently announced for Sidmouth Folk Week eight days filled with folk music, singing, dancing, pub sessions, concerts, and cream teas, focused in the centre of Sidmouth, Devon and on the sea front. The dates for the 61st edition are Friday 29th July to Friday 5th August 2016.

As well as live music, expect ceilidh dances, social dance bands & callers, workshops, a dance display, processions, craft fair, a themed children's festival, fun and games and more, with the festival spread across several venues throughout the town, over an 8 day period.

Dance sides include Folk Dance Group Dandari, Bampton Traditional Morris Dancers, Candy Rapper VSOP, Orion Longsword, Seven Champions Morris Dancers, Sheffield Steel Rapper, Hexham Morris Men, Berkshire Bedlam, Harlequin Morris, Hexhamshire Lasses, Earlsdon Morris Men, Alvechurch Morris Men, Firestone Appalachian, Wreckers Border Morris, and Lancashire Wallopers.

An all-in-one adult ticket is priced at £292, or £194 for an adult week ticket, £82 for a full weekend ticket, and £40 for an adult day ticket. Ticket options also available for young adult (aged 18-24 years), a youth (aged 12-17 years), child (aged 6-11 years), with children aged under 5 able to attend for free.

There will be charges for using the campsite. A week camping pass is available if you have bought an All-in-One, week ticket, or Campsite Passport. A week long camping ticket which runs from Wednesday to Friday is priced at: Week Adult £60, Youngster (6-17 years) £25, aged 5 years & under Free. Caravan + £36.
