Peter Doherty will be headlining the North Stage on Sunday night at Liverpool Sound City held multiple venues and spaces in the city's Docklands, now in it's 9th year held from Friday 27th to Sunday 29th May 2016.

Also added to the bill are Mount Kimbie (DJ set), Kyko, Blick Bassy, 1Eye, Colonel Mustard and Dijon Five, Youth HostelBill Ryder Jones, and C Duncan.

Elsewhere across the diverse festival site more than 50 additional acts have been announced between The North Stage, The Tall Ship Stage in partnership with Captain Morgan, The Cavern Stage, The Cargo Stage and the MailChimp Record Store, Saturday additions are Irene & The Disappointments, Storme, Bridges, Barron, Atlas Wynd, Somerville, We're No Heroes, Castles, Fleur De Lys, Connah Evans, Leyya, Koala Voice, The Spook School, Las Aves, Gallery Circus, Bulletproof Bomb, The Left Backs, Boo Seeka, Eden Royals, Norma Jean Martine, Tom Low, I Set The Sea On Fire, and Fizzy Blood.

Added to Sunday's line-up are Barbagallo, The Anchoress, Temenik Electric, Feral Love, Pink Kink, Red Rum Club, Weekend Wars, Foxtrott, LA Foster, Wake Island, Patients, Dead Buttons, 57, Laybricks, DTSQ, Lock, Ropoporose, Pit Ponies, The Lottery Winners, Oh, The Guilt, The Stamp, Crows, Miserable Faith, We Are The Night, O Captain, and Julia Jacklin.

Headliners Catfish and The Bottlemen, and The Coral, plus Circa Waves, Sleaford Mods, The Dandy Warhols, Young Fathers, Band of Skulls, Palma Violets, Georgia, Shura, Neon Waltz, Inheaven, Levelz, Mez, Dilly Dally, The Big Moon, Kagoule, Postaal, Horsebeach, Little Triggers, She Drew The Gun, Sky Valley Mistress, The Night Café, Trudy, Shrinking Minds, Cavalry, Sugarmen, Xam Volo, Blue Saint, Judas, False Advertising, Johnny Sands, Deadbear, and Holy Esque.

The Baltic Freeze Warehouse line-up includes 2manydjs (DJ Set), Hot Chip (DJ set), Leftfield , Floating Points, Âme, Henrik Schwarz, DJ Koze, Motor City Drum Ensemble, Mano Le Tough, John Talabot, Gerd Janson, Greg Wilson, Jemmy, Makes No Sense, and Derek Kaye.

In total, more than 400 acts from around the world will play to 25,000 people across 30 of Liverpool's venues for four days, with the traditional series of label showcases, late night sessions and parties also happening across the city. Sound City will be announcing hundreds more bands, performers, ‘happenings’ and experiences in the coming weeks. Also announced are Paddy Considine, Sleaford Mods and Roisin Murphy, who will all be taking part in the festival's In Conversation series.

Weekend tickets for Sound City are currently on sale with a very limited amount still available at £70. These will run out very soon when there will be an automatic price increase so fans are urged to buy as quickly as possible to get them at this price threshold.
