The Uncommon Stage line-up announced for Common People

The line-up for The Uncommon Stage at the twin sister non-camping festival Common People which will take place over the Spring Bank Holiday weekend of Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th May 2016 on Southampton Common in Hampshire and Oxford's South Park, on the same weekend.

The line-up sees Rob da Bank join forces with music publication Nightshift in Oxford and The Joiners in Southampton, to bring up-and-coming music acts, featuring new and underground bands.

At South Park - Oxford The Uncommon Stage will host The Original Rabbit Foot Spasm Band, Zaia, Neverlnd, Esther Joy Lane, Undersmile, Cameron A G, Peerless Pirates, Death Of The Maiden, and Duotone on Saturday, on Sunday the bill features The Balkan Wanderers, Maiians, Vienna Ditto, Little Brother Eli, Inner Peace Music Collective, Cassels, The August List, Young Women's Music Project, and Julia Meijer.

The same stage at Southampton Common will be home on Saturday to Lonely The Brave, Tall Ships, Sean McGowan, New Desert Blues, Bel Esprit, Signals, Our Hollow, Our Home, Elixir, and Vicki Musselwhite, while on Sunday the stage will host Palma Violets, Pretty Vicious, Kassassin Street, Science of Eight Limbs, The Rising, Bigtopp, These Septic Stars, and Cassava.

Common People curator Rob da Bank said, "The beating heart of all our festival adventures is getting people to discover new music and uncover new bands. Our curators, Ricky from The Joiners in Southampton and Ronan from the seminal Nightshift magazine, are experts in these matters, so please be upstanding and make much noise for The Uncommon Stage."

They will be joining Duran Duran, Katy B, Primal Scream, Craig David, Public Enemy, Gaz Coombes, Ghost Poet, Kurupt FM, Hospitality, Ram Jam, and many more.

The event will also offer immersive family fun each day with Bestival regulars, entertainers, an array of venues, bars and food including Street Food, Cocktail Bars, the Uncommon Stage, which will be presented by Nightshift in Oxford and The Joiners in Southampton, The People’s Front Room, the Knitting Tent, the Bigtopmania Circus, cocktails galore from The Jam Jar Bar and fantastic arts & crafts, our ace kids area, bouncy castles and more!
