Soul II Soul join Boomtown Rats to headline Brentwood Festival

The first names have been announced for the family friendly Brentwood Festival which returns from Friday 15th July until Sunday 17th July 2016, and takes place at The Brentwood Centre, Brentwood, in Essex.

Headlining Friday will be Soul II Soul, whilst ABC will be supporting Tony Hadley, and headliners Boomtown Rats on the Sunday line up.

The Dualers, and Missing Andy will take to the festival stage on the Saturday.

In total more than 40 bands and DJs across 2 stages.

Ticket prices have not yet been announced and are not yet on sale. Early bird tickets will go on sale from 14-28 February.

Expect the festival to have have full facilities including camping facilities, showers, 24-hour security, free parking, plus 100 real ales on tap in the Brentwood Brewing Company beer tent. Expect the return of the VIP lounge, fun fair rides, kids zone with free children's activities, street food village, and festival stalls market.

Festival Director, Jason Jopson, said, "We pay a lot of attention to the feedback and suggestions from our regular festivalgoers and think we've come up with a 2016 line up that will make everyone happy. Friday will be our usual fun party night. Saturday will spotlight ska and pop, and Sunday will be an 80s rewind for the whole family."

Held every year in aid of charity, the festival has raised over £160,000 for local and national organisations, including SNAP, Little Havens, Hopefield Animal Sanctuary, Helen Rollason Cancer Charity, and Saint Francis Hospice.
