The first 15 bands have been announced today for ArcTanGent Festival happening from Thursday 18th until Saturday 20th August 2016 at Fernhill Farm, Cheddar, in Somerset, led by USA's American Football, and Japan's Toe who will both be playing their only UK shows of 2016.

Also confirmed for ArcTanGent Festival are SikTh, Caspian, TTNG, Owen, Alarmist, Falls, France's Totorro, Alma, Denmark's Town Portal, Anta, Floral, A Werewolf!, and Spain's Exxasens.

There will be over 70 bands announced for the 2016 event.

Organiser James Scarlett said, "Once people have been to ATG, they seem to come back every year. It has this amazing sense of community and really feels like we’re all part of a secret club that the rest of the world doesn’t know about. Watching an unknown, but amazing, band play at midday to a thousand people really helps with my faith in humanity! But nothing compares to 5,000 people gathering to watch the headliners - American Football this year will be out of this world and I guarantee that ArcTanGent 2016 will be the best weekend of the summer. We couldn’t be happier with this final list of announcements and I think it gives the line up a great balance from the instrumental (65days, LITE, Maybeshewill) to the heavy (Deafheaven, Dillinger, Cult of Luna) to the mathy (Joan of Arc, The Fall of Troy). It really is going to be one hell of a weekend!"

Other services being provided at ArcTanGent include a shuttle bus service from Bristol Temple Meads station plus boutique & pre-pitched camping and a Sherpa service to get attendees and their belongings from the car park to the campsite.

To attend the Thursday night of ArcTanGent a three-day festival ticket is required. Fernhill Farm just 10 miles south of Bristol and only 2 hours from London. Capacity is strictly limited to 5,000 and tickets include 3 nights camping, over 70 bands across 4 stages, a silent disco until 3am and excellent food and drink.

Simon Maltas explains there is also a special treat in store for loyal fans, "We really wanted to reward those fans that have been with us from the beginning so the first thousand people to buy a ticket will get £10 in beer tokens to spend at the bar! I’d expect these to go with in the first couple of minutes though so be quick!"
