The Slackers will headline the Saturday night of the 3rd annual Outcider Festival taking place from Friday 5th to Sunday 7th August 2016 at Fern Hill Farm, Compton Martin in Somerset.

Organisers said, "How on earth do we go about matching last year's amazing Saturday headliner Ferocious Dog? Surely there's no way we could get a top notch touring band from the across the Atlantic down to our little cider and music festival in Somerset? Or could we...

"Hugely excited to announce that The Slackers will be bringing their legendary live show from New York City to Outcider Festival 2016 - mashing up a blend of ska, rocksteady, dub, blues, 60s soul and R&B that has made them loved and revered across the world for the last two decades. Hard working, hard rocking and ready to shake the Shearing Shed to its foundations on 6th August, give them a massive Outcider welcome!"

They join The Skimmity Hitchers, Duncan Disorderly & The Scallywags, The Eskies, Mischief Brew, The Jellycats, Gaz Brookfield, The Roughneck Riot, Popes of Chillitown, Fish Hook, Benny Mayhem, Jake and the Jellyfish, Surfin' Birds, The Majestic, Matildas Scoundrels, Inbredz, Clayton Blizzard, The Imprints, Jawbone, Wonk Unit, Robb Blake, Lobster, Pepper's Ghost, Andy Tywman, Seven Little Sisters, Jo Carley & The Old Dry Skulls, Efa Supertramp, I-Destroy, Eat Your Greens, and Mike Harris.

Organisers still have a couple of acts to announce to complete the full line-up for the festival that offers eclectic music and local cider, ale and food for over 18s only.
