Saturday headliners Public Image Ltd. (PiL) lead the latest acts to be announced for the 9th Bearded Theory festival happening at Catton Hall, in Derbyshire on Bank Holiday weekend with music starting from Thursday 26th to Sunday 29th May 2016.

Also confirmed are Black Uhuru, 3 Daft Monkeys, Flutatious, and Attila the Stockbroker.

The line-up for Magical Sounds dance tent has also been announced with Strontium Dogs headlining Friday with support from Chris Liberator & Sterling Moss, Subgiant, Glowbones, Doghouse, Darkcity Sistas, Benji 303, Crystal GEF, and festival regulars Drum Machine.

Juno Reactor top the bill on Saturday with Lucas, Man Made Man, Merv (Eat Static) - DJ set, OOOD, Ed Tangent (DJ), Audio Addictz, Mutated Pony, Mad Mick (DJ), and Engine, Ears.

Sunday it's the turn of OTT & The All Seeing Eye, with The Orb, Astralasia, Loop Guru, Niteworks, Indigo Herder, Ushti Baba, and Rev Phil Dread and his Sunday service.

They join Levellers who headline Friday, plus Killing Joke, Reverend And The Makers, Red Monroes, Billy Bragg, Jack Savoretti, Fairground Accidents, Turin Brakes, Skipinnish, Wilko Johnson, From The Jam, Cockney Rejects, Bad Manners, Mad Dog Mcrea, Skerryvore, Beans on Toast, John Otway Big Band, Moulettes, Talisman, Sheelanagig, New Town Kings, The Filaments, Senser, Blyth Power, The Tuts, The Roughneck Riot, Mado et les Freres Pinard, Wonk Unit, Stevie - One Bloke One Mandolin, Subhumans, Popes of Chillitown, Please Y Self, Pog, The Uke Ellington Orchestra, Will Tun and The Wasters, The Sporadics, The True Deceivers, and Dirty Vertebrae.

The Dub Pistols headline the Thursday line-up which includes Doctor and the Medics.

The Sunday headline act will be announced in the new year.

Next year there is a new venue, Maui Waui, the Something Else Tea Tent and open mic, returns for a 9th year, and the festival school is back on the Friday and the Children’s Village will once again be free of charge to all parents. Thornbridge Brewery are back with a bigger selection of real ales and ciders on offer in the Woodland area. Plus a new cabaret tent, more site art from Labyrinth Arts, and a healing area.

The adult ticket price is £97 along with the teen ticket price (12-16) at £50, child tickets (6-11) will be priced at £20 and 0-5 are free. Campervan & Car Passes are priced at £35 and £12.50 respectively.

All tickets will include Thursday entry. The festival also runs a school which children can be transferred to so that they do not miss lessons.

Every year Bearded Theory attempts to break the world record for the most amount of people wearing a fancy dress beards in one place and at one time.
