Tickets go on sale at 9am today for this year's Splendour, Nottingham's annual family friendly music festival, which returns for its ninth year to Wollaton Park on Saturday 23rd July 2016.

Set in the stunning grounds of Wollaton Hall, the festival has grown to become one of the region's biggest music events, attracting around 20,000 people of all ages. Recognised as the city's biggest summer day out, organisers have released the tickets earlier in anticipation of a demand for tickets purchased as Christmas gifts.

Owner and festival booker George Akins, DHP Family, said: "What better way to celebrate Christmas than giving them a reminder of summer with the gift of a fantastic day out at Splendour! The festival has become one of the most hotly anticipated dates in the calendar for Nottingham, so anyone getting a ticket now will be on to a winner."

Splendour feature three live music stages, a comedy stage, special entertainment for children, bars, food stalls, fairground rides, kids are and more.
