The all important ticket on sale date has been announced for CarFest, which raises more than £200,000 each year for Children in Need.

Carfest was conceived in 2012 by Chris Evans as his dream of the perfect family festival; a unique event which combines classic cars, live music and food whilst also raising money for BBC Children in Need.

The north, Cheshire event moves this year from Oulton Park to Bolesworth Castle, happening on Friday 29th to Sunday 31st July 2016, and there's a sister event in the south at Laverstoke Park Farm in Hampshire from Friday 26th until Sunday 28th August 2016.

There are no acts announced yet for 2016. Some of the best cars in the world will be on display and other attractions for festival goers include kids shows from famous authors, theatre shows, and more.

Tickets last year sold out. Tickets for CarFest will go on sale at 8am on Thursday 5th November, and eFestivals will have links here to buy them then
