Elton John has announced three June outdoor shows in Lincoln, Leicester, and Exeter.
Elton, who has sold more than 250 million records worldwide, will be accompanied by his live band for the shows, and the man who has given over 4000 performances in a career spanning more than fifty years, said: "The simple truth is I want to spend more time with my family, and I am only too aware of just how precious the time ahead is. My sons are growing up so quickly; their early years are just flying by and I want to be there with them. So these concerts will give me the chance to thank the British audiences who have been so faithful to me over these many decades. We cannot get to everyone but I am going to try to get back to people who love music but get so few concerts."
The confirmed stadium dates are as follows:
Friday 10 June Lincoln Showground, Lincoln
Saturday 11 June Leicestershire County Cricket Club, Leicester
Sunday 19 June Westpoint (outdoor show), Exeter
Tickets go on sale on Friday 23rd October at 10am, as part of Sir Elton's Wonderful Crazy Tour, and eFestivals will have links her to buy them then.
