Simply Red have announced a brace of gigs next summer as part of the Forestry Commission's Forest Live concert series.
The band, fronted by Mick Hucknall, are entering their fourth decade together, and are sure to deliver a few songs from their new album 'Big Love', alongside their greatest hits such as; 'Money's Too Tight (To Mention)', 'Holding Back The Years', 'If You Don't Know Me By Now', 'Something Got Me Started', 'The Right Thing', 'Stars', 'Fairground', 'Angel' and 'Sunrise'.
Commenting on the concerts, front man Mick Hucknall for Simply Red said, "Having had a great time as part of Forest Live back in 2010, we are delighted to be returning in 2016 and hope you can join us in celebrating over 30 years in the music business."
Simply Red plus guests will be performing on the following dates:-
Saturday 2 July: Delamere Forest, near Northwich, Cheshire.
Sunday 3 July: Thetford Forest, near Brandon, Suffolk.
Forest Live is an independent programme organised by the Forestry Commission bringing music to new audiences without commercial branding or sponsorship. Income from the concerts is spent on improving the woodland for both people and wildlife. Simply Red is the first band to announce dates for 2016 as part of Forest Live, the summer concert series promoted by the Forestry Commission where acts perform in beautiful woodland locations around the country.
