Down To The Woods will replace its predecessor of three years, Hardwick Live when it is held on Saturday 13th August at Hardwick Hall Hotel, Sedgefield, in County Durham.
Hardwick Live sold out this year and the new event promises to deliver heritage and new acts, plus comedy, dance DJs, spoken word, art and more than one or two surprises.
Organisers say, "Down To The Woods will launch with three stages and many pop up surprises. The stages are The Grand Arcadia where you will find our festival headliners and a host of other stunning acts, Foxes Folly, home to the best in new music and more of the artists you already adore and Badgers Den where comedy and dance reign supreme. There will of course be plenty of bars, food outlets, fairground rides and as for the rest…..If you go down to the woods today……"
There are no acts confirmed yet for 2016.
Tickets for adults (aged 17 years and over) are are priced £45. A young persons ticket (aged 13 to 16 years) is priced at £15, and a children’s ticket for those aged 3 to 12 years inclusive is priced at £8.
The one-day festival is also offering visitors the opportunity to extend their stay, with a range of weekend accommodation packages priced from £30. This includes camping in the grounds of Hardwick Hall Hotel, Sedgefield from Friday afternoon (4pm) until noon on Sunday, with access to toilets, showers and 24-hour security.
There will also be a limited number of spaces for campervans, with parking charged at £50 per vehicle, just a short walk from the main festival stage.
