There's been a brand new area announced for this year's Festival No. 6 - The Village Green.

A statement from the organisers explains, "Located between Castel Park and Portmeirion, The Village Green will feature our new live stage The Bandstand, with the finest folk artists curated by Mercury-nominated Sam Lee and the wonderful The Nest Collective, cutting edge artists from Venezuela, Brazil and Zimbabwe curated by In Place of War, and the best new bands from across Wales curated by Horizons. It will also be home to the Dylan Thomas Camp (To Begin At The Big Awning), the interactive mechanical circus The Marie Celestial, the wonderful Welsh produce market, and much more."

The event takes place in Portmeirion, Wales which will be returning for a fourth year in 2015 from Thursday 3rd until Sunday 6th September and features Metronomy, Grace Jones, James, and Belle & Sebastian will headline. They are joined by Mark Ronson (DJ set), British Sea Power, Years And Years, Haelos, Catfish & The Bottlemen, Everything Everything, James Bay, Gaz Coombes, Young Fathers, Kate Tempest, Rae Morris, Shura, Stornoway, The Bohicas, FrYars, Badly Drawn Boy, Brythoniad Male Voice Choir, Jane Weaver, King Creosote, Soak, Ghost Culture, Hookworms, LA Priest, Stealing Sheep, Spring King, DJ Greg Wilson, Kermit, Joe Duddell and the No.6 Ensemble, Green Gartside, Drinks (Cate Le Bon & Tim Presley), Duke Garwood, Blind Arcade, Dub Sex, Gwenno, Dream Themes, Blossoms, Arthur Smith sings Leonard Cohen, King Eider, Drohne, James Atkin, The Mostar Diving Club, Yucatan, The Gramotones, Thud Crackle Pop, The Everley Pregnant Brothers, Piazza House Band Gypsies of Bohemia, and more.

On Sunday evening, there will be a special Grace Jones Mirror Ball Parade, from the village up to the main stage for Grace Jones's closing main stage set. Stealing Sheep will also be leading their own 'Mythopoeia' torch lit parade on the Saturday night.

The Woods programme, Castell Gardens and Town Hall Sessions, new venues and Michelin starred-chefs in the coming months, and there's a good chance of festival regulars the Brythoniad Male Voice Choir making an appearance.

Bands, DJs, musicians and string ensembles will be performing across the entire site, from the historic town hall to the Colonnade gardens to the picturesque Bay Stage and the promenade along the sandy beached estuary of the River Dwyryd.

Festival goers can also expect pop up-theatre, intimate readings, film screenings, woodland trails, art installations, comedy performances, pop up woodland raves, The Prisoner reconstructions, and more.

Early bird tickets priced at £170 (for Friday arrival) and £185 for Thursday arrival. A young person (aged 11-15 years) is priced at £80 for Friday arrival, and £90 for Thursday arrival. Children aged 10 years and under can attend for free.
