Hartlepool collective The Jar Family have been given the green light for We Are Family - a new festival breathing life back into the disused Jacksons Landing, at Hartlepool Marina on Saturday 19th September 2015 incorporating some of the best talent, food and beers from the area.

Curated and produced by The Jar Family and privately funded by their record label Jar Records and local brewery Camerons, the festival will bring a vibrant and innovative event to Hartlepool. The event will showcase over 15 artists from the area including Smoove & Turrell, Frankie And The Heartstrings, Parastatic, Boy Jumps Ship, Shields, Mouses, Hyde & Beast, The Lake Poets, Kingsley Chapman and The Murder, Para Alta, Kosoti, Street Party In Soho, Shoot The Poet, and Cape Cub, plus special guests to be announced.

The Jar Family member Max Bianco said, "We wanted to create something that really celebrated the vast musical talent in the North East and to acknowledge the support the local population has given us… and give them something to smile about!"

The Tees Music Alliance will host the Marina Stage at the event, and their Director Paul Burns added, "We are very excited to be part of the We Are Family Festival, the ethos of the event is a perfect fit with our organisation and provides us with an exciting opportunity to further benefit local musicians and their audiences, while supporting local industries and the community."

The event is not offering camping.
