Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Battles, Wire, Penguin Cafe, Factory Floor, Dean Blunt, Lone, DJ Funk, Romare, Speedy Ortiz, Liturgy, Lower Dens, Nicole Willis and the Soul Investigators, Chastity Belt, Long Arm, Grumbling Fur, Loyle Carner, Danny L Harle, lead the first acts for the line-up for Bristol's Simple Things Festival.
Simple Things returns as a two day music and visual festival and returns to various Bristol venues for a fifth year on Friday 23rd and Saturday, 24th October, across a cross section of existing city centre venues and brand new interesting and intriguing creative spaces.
The standalone opening party on the eve of the event, will be headlined by Godspeed You! Black Emperor, the others acts all appear on Saturday with Battles heading up the main festival bill.
The first DJs have also been announced and are led by Chicago house legend Ron Trent, plus Objekt, Mike Skinner (DJ Set), Hunee, Barnt, Helena Hauff, nd_baumecker, Avalon Emerson, and Discodromo
Early bird tickets have sold out. Tickets are now priced at £29.50, plus booking fee.
