Arcadia announces dates for spider's visit to Bristol

Brisfest organisers are pairing up with Arcadia for a special show in partnership with Team Love, the organisers behind Love Saves The Day and The Love Inn to host Arcadia Bristol, bringing Glastonbury's famous mechanical spider to Bristol on Friday 4th and Sunday 5th September 2015.

The line-up has not yet been announced and ticket prices have not yet been announced.

Arcadia who fuse reshaped military hardware, flaming explosions, sculpture, performance, adrenaline, immersion and bass in a giant mechanical spider say, "It's on. Arcadia's first inner city show in the UK. The Spider will be landing in the heart of Bristol on the 4th and 5th of September.

At the end of last year Arcadia announced The Arcadia Spider which had been a permanent fixture of BoomTown since 2012 would not be returning to Matterley Bowl, They did confirm a return to Glastonbury - "whipping together new performance and technological elements to ramp up the spectacle" and that they would be launching a whole new Arcadia event in Bristol this year.

It will be their only UK event apart from Glastonbury, and Arcadia’s entire creative, performance, technological, and mechanical arsenal will be unleashed at full throttle added Arcadia organisers who have been wowing cords at Ultra Music Festival in Miami.

Last year the spider as broken down and shipped to Thailand for the Gravity Festival in four huge containers, and took three days to rebuild once it got there. The logistics of bringing the contraption to Bristol and the location of the festival are yet to be announced.
