eFestivals exclusive: Boney M to headline to headline Wychwood Festival

eFestivals can exclusively reveal that Boney M will be the Friday main stage headlining act at Wychwood Music Festival which returns for its' 11th event to Cheltenham Racecourse, in Gloucestershire next year from Friday 29th until Sunday 31st May, during the summer half term holiday.

Famous for their wide-legged satin and fur trimmed costumes, wild hair and bizarre dance routines festival goers will be dancing to 'By The Rivers Of Babylon', 'Daddy Cool', 'Ma Baker', 'Rasputin', 'Brown Girl in the Ring', 'Sunny' 'Mary's Boy Child/Oh my Lord' and more to close the first evening.

Appearing before them will be The Undertones, with Bassekou Kouyate & Ngoni Ba, and family favourite Justin Fletcher aka Mr Tumble also confirmed to appear on the main stage over the weekend.

Smashing Blouse bands added to the Ecotricity Big Top bill are Syd Arthur, LandShapes, Friday's headliners Darlia, Zak Abel, and Henry Green.

Ladysmith Black Mambazo are Friday's mainstage headlining act, Ali Campbell is Saturday's joined by fellow ex-UB40 members Astro and Mickey Virtue. Plus The Proclaimers, Lucy Rose, Electric Swing Circus, Dreadzone, Rusty Shackle, Craig Charles, Andy Kershaw, The Wonder Stuff (acoustic), Mt. Wolf, The Barron Knights, Thrill Collins, Plastic Mermaids, Monsieur Doumani, Dick & Dom, Folk On, Fickle Friends, Demob Happy, Ted Zed, Black Honey, and Palace. Ghostpoet is the Smashing Blouse headliner in the Big Top on Saturday.

The confirmed comedians announced for the eFestivals sponsored comedy line-up with comperes Jon Wagstaffe, Howard Read, and Tiernan Douieb, are George Rigden, Keith Farnan,  Nick Page, Mitch Benn, Tom Allen, Michael Legge, Cerys Nelmes, Jenny Collier, Jack Heal, Chris Turner, Jay Cowle, and Jamali Maddix.

They are the first acts announced. The Wychwood Music Festival boasts four music stages with over 100 bands, plus comedy, 100 workshops and events for all ages, kids literature festival, healing and sculpture gardens, The Headphone Disco until the wee hours, great food and real ales, and much more.

A full adult weekend ticket with camping priced at £129, a disabled (2 for 1 with carer) ticket is priced at £129, Youth/Concessions weekend tickets are priced at £104, a teen (aged 10-15 yr) full weekend ticket is priced at £62, a child aged 5-9 years ticket is priced at £22, and under 5 years olds can attend for free.

An adult camping ticket is an additional £22, concession camping tickets are priced at £11, camping for children aged under 16 years is free, and a campervan ticket is priced at £60.
