Whilst many VW owners camp in special reserved camping beside the main arena, above the arena on the slopes of Newnham Park is open to all, with the added bonus of being able to camp next to your vehicle most of the time. BBQ's (off the ground) are permitted, but not open fires, there are proper festival food stalls in the main arena.
The idea of the event is to offer everyone a chilled out family friendly weekend with lots of entertainment for all. They have two music tents, a comedy tent, children's entertainment, stalls and more, not forgetting the Show'n'Shine VW displays.
