The first wave of tickets go on sale at 10am today for BBC Radio 6 Music Festival which returns for a second edition this year it will take place on Tyneside on Friday 20th  until Sunday 22nd February 2015.

The line-up includes Jamie T, Interpol, Hot Chip, The War on Drugs, The Charlatans, British Sea Power, Gaz Coombes, Villagers, Django Django, Unknown Mortal Orchestra, Public Service Broadcasting, Neneh Cherry, Jon Hopkins, The Fall, Maximo Park, The Cribs, King Creosote, Jungle, Wire, The Maccabees, Simian Mobile Disco, Mogwai, Glass Animals, Lonelady, Sleater Kinney, Ibibio Sound Machine, Ghostpoet, Gruff Rhys, Kate Tempest and Eliza Carthy, Father John Misty, and Young Fathers.

The line-up featuring an ever-growing bill of over 50 bands and artists, with three days of live music and conversation, will be announced throughout the day on 6 Music and the artist/band names will be added to this page as they are announced.

Last year tickets sold out in just over 20 minutes. Tickets for Friday are priced at £25 and £35 for Saturday or Sunday.

Tickets for each night of the festival will go on sale at 10am across the next three consecutive days, starting today Friday, 30th January.

Please note - tickets to the events at The 02 Academy Newcastle and The Sage Gateshead do not give access to the 6 Music Festival by Day and vice versa. The events are ticketed separately.
