Taylor Swift is the first headlining act to be announced for BBC Radio 1's 12th annual free Big Weekend will take place in Earlham Park, in Norwich taking place over three days from Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th May 2015.

Taylor Swift, who tops the bill on Sunday,  told the BBC (here), "They are rowdy, insane, in the best way - there seems to be a lot of jumping, which I love,

"Everyone talks about the festivals in England being the best ones you can go to. I feel like I've been missing out - I'm really excited."

Headline artists and a full line-up of international and UK artists, bands and DJs will be confirmed in the coming months.

Tickets will be free and are obtained through a lottery. There is no charge for the concert itself, but a handling fee per ticket will be applied to help cover all associated ticket handling costs. The majority of the tickets for BBC Radio 1's Big Weekend 2014 are being allocated to people living in Lanarkshire and the surrounding boroughs.
