SherstonFest organisers have been successful in funding Boondocks, Malmesbury's own independent weekend music festival, locally run, locally funded and on their doorstep.

The event sees SherstonFest organisers collaborate with the prople who put together Malmesbury Acoustic, Malmesbury Rocks, FieldView and WOMAD (organisers are hoping to borrow their flags).

The family friendly event will be offering music, food, local beers and ciders on Friday 17th and Saturday 18th July 2015.

Boondocks will take place at a site on the Foxley road out of Malmesbury, in Wiltshire just opposite Foxley Nurseries, and will allow camping right on the site.

Boondocks will focus mainly on live music, with at least 2 large outdoor stages, programmed all weekend with live bands of all genres, from the local area and from all over the country. Plus a small fairground and an outdoor skatepark.

The Kickstarter page raised enough pledges in just a month to reach the £30,000 target yesterday. Pledgers reserved weekend tickets on Kickstarter for £30 for a full weekend ticket including camping.

Now SherstonFest organisers have reached their target the crowd funding worked and there will be another small festival happening next summer.
