a letter of authorisation enough for those collecting tickets for Reading Festival

There's some good news for those Reading Festival goers going to Little Johns Farm, Richfield Avenue, Reading, Berkshire who must collect their tickets in person this weekend at the Hexagon Theatre after See Tickets have not posted them.

The official Twitter account (@OfficialRandL) have said a letter of authorisation from the credit card holder is acceptable and the credit card holder does not need to be present.

Some Reading Festival goers who bought thickets through See Tickets have been told that they are not sending tickets out and buyers must collect them in person from the Hexagon Theatre. Originally the terms of the transaction meant that the credit card holder had to be present, and in many cases this meant parents who had paid for their children to go would have to pick up the tickets.

However organiser have tweeted (here), "If you need to pick up tickets don't worry about dragging the cardholder with you, just take a letter of authorisation from them."

The line-up for the sold out event includes Arctic Monkeys, Blink 182, Queens Of The Stone Age, Paramore, Jake Bugg, Disclosure, Metronomy, Of Mice & Men, Wilkinson, The 1975, The Courteeners, You Me At Six, Sbtrkt, Warpaint, Netsky, Annie Mac, Architects, Pusha T, Krept & Konan, Royal Blood, Vampire Weekend, Enter Shikari, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis and Bombay Bicycle Club.
