Soul II Soul to headline Ramsbottom festival

plus The Tapestry, Berlin Berlin, Thugs on Wolves, & more

Soul II Soul are the final headliner to be announced for Ramsbottom Festival which takes place from Friday 19th to Sunday 21st September 2014 at Ramsbottom Cricket Club, in Lancashire.

Led by DJ Jazzie B, the group is currently celebrating its 25th year in the industry and to date has sold over 10 million albums worldwide since finding fame in 1989 with hit ‘Back to Life’, the group will be bringing its cool fusion of reggae, blues and dance vibes to the Sunday of Lancashire’s laid-back festival.

As previously announced Levellers will be headlining on Friday with British Sea Power topping the bill on Saturday. Other acts include Cara Dillon, Admiral Fallow, Bridie Jackson and The Arbour, Keston Cobblers Club, Randolph Swain & The Red Lights, Mad Dog Mcrea, The Shee, Marcus Malone Band, Lisbee Stainton, Jo Harman, Harp and a Monkey, and Gorgeous George.

Two more acts The Tapestry, Berlin Berlin have also been announced as part of Friday’s line-up, and joining the bill for Saturday is Thugs on Wolves.

Also new for this year will be the Chameleon Stage, featuring artists programmed by Manchester’s The Big Slice, which works to champion and find platforms for rising home grown talent, and will present Rum Thief, Matt Hamer, and Second Hand Wings on the Sunday afternoon.

A weekend ticket is priced at £66, a family weekend ticket for two adults and three children (over 6 and under 16) is priced at £144. A weekend ticket for children aged from under 16 to 6 years are priced at £11. There's free entry for children aged under 6 years but they still need a ticket. Day tickets are not yet available.
