Green Man Festival adds Slint, and Jimi Goodwin

plus Alexis Taylor, The Pictish Trail, Jupiter-C, & more

Slint, Jimi Goodwin, Alexis Taylor, The Pictish Trail, and Jupiter-C have all been added to the The Green Man Festival line-up at Glanusk Park, Usk Valley, Powys, Wales.

Also confirmed for The Green Man Rising stage, which supports emerging new talent, are Flo Morrissey, Sweet Benfica, Jay Brown, No Thee No Ess, Love.Stop.Repeat, Jess Morgan, Deep Throat Choir, Instructions, Heavy Petting Zoo, Lail Arad, and Meilir Tomos.

Shape Records, a Cardiff based record label run by Mark Daman Thomas of Islet, will have their own showcase in Green Man Rising featuring Memory Palace, Them Squirrels, and Hail! The Planes.

They join headliners Mervury Rev, Beirut, and Neutral Milk Hotel, plus First Aid Kit, Kurt Vile & the Violators, Daughter, Polica, Anna Calvi, Sharon Van Etten, Jeffrey Lewis, I Break Horses, Tunng, Toy, Lanterns on the Lake, Ry X, Fat White Family, Speedy Ortiz, William Tyler, Frank Fairfield, Georgia Ruth, All We Are, The War on Drugs, The Waterboys, Neko Case, Panda Bear, Other Lives, Sun Kil Moon/Mark Kozelek, Jonathan Wilson, The 2 Bears, Mutual Benefit, Stanley Brinks, Womans Hour, and many more of the total 400 live performances across 17 stages.

The line-up of comedians includes Josh Widdicombe, Pappy's, Joe Lycett, Jo Neary, Holly Burn, Gareth Brand, and Gavin Osborn..

Literature, film, theatre, ceilidhs, all-night bonfires, comedy and secret gigs are part of the festival's identity. The festival has carved a niche as a non-corporate and ethically-minded festival.

An adult weekend ticket is priced at £159 for adults, £135 for students, £85 for teenagers (aged 13 to 17 years), and £5 for children aged 5 to 12 years, infants and 4 and under can attend free, but need a ticket. A live-in vehicle ticket is priced at £60 and a car park pass is £5 for the weekend. Prices do not include booking fees.
