first 21 acts announced for WOMAD

Alice Russell, Nitin Sawhney OneZero , Mulatu Astatke, and Fat Freddy's Drop lead the first acts announced for WOMAD - World of Music, Arts and Dance held at Charlton Park, near Malmesbury, in Wiltshire.

Ethiopian jazz, British soul, Kiwi dub, Balkans brass and more is explored by the line-up who include Goran Bregovic Wedding And Funeral Band, Bassekou Kouyate & Ngoni Ba, Salim-Sulaiman, Oliver Mtukudzi & The Black Spirits, Mari Boine, The Gloaming, Roberto Fonseca, Fatoumata Diawara, Martin Simpson & Dom Flemons, Kobo Town, Mahsa & Marjan Vahdat, Anna Cinzia Villani & Macuran Orchestra, Ibibio Sound Machine, Magic Drum Orchestra, Nuru Kane, The Good Ones, and Salim-Sulaiman with Karsh Kale.

There are still many more to be announced for WOMAD's six main stages, attendees can expect the most eclectic line-up anywhere in the UK at the picturesque site from Friday 25th to Sunday 27th July 2014, with early entry available on Thursday.

The early bird offer has ended. Weekend tickets - which are valid from the Friday until Sunday are priced at £160 (Thursday arrivals will also need a Thursday camping ticket costing £30).

WOMAD park and camp tickets have already sold out.

A campervan ticket is priced at £55

Children 13 and under can come free with each adult ticket holder, but need a free child ticket. All children must hold their own ticket and must be accompanied by a ticket holding parent or guardian over the age of 21. One ticket holding parent or guardian can only accompany up to 4 people under the age of 18. Thursday tickets do not need to be purchased for children aged 13 and under.
