first acts announced for Cosmic Puffin Festival

The first acts have been unveiled for the seventh Cosmic Puffin Festival taking place in May 2014 at Mersea Youth Camp, Mersea Island, in Essex.

The festival is staffed and run entirely by volunteers in aid of Bliss, the special baby care charity and The National Autistic Society for people with autism and Asperger syndrome.

The first acts confirmed for the main Cosmic Stage are The Skraelings, Buff Squirty Dotters, The Johnnie Squizzercrow Experiment, Abdoujaparov, Aurora, La Vendore Rogue, Dubbal, Deferred Sucess, Deviant Amps, Fashoda Crisis, Paradise9, and The Majestic.

The Mychoonz Stage will host Red Elektra 69, The Peoples Free Republic of Pandemonia , Aurora, Kozmik Ken, Kev n Gregg, Dr Hasbeen, Silverspace, Tanglemist, Dubbal, The Archetypes, Tarana & Third Gold Bird, Spirits of the Earth, Spiral Navigators, Paradise9, Krankschaft, Jiezuberband, Flutatious, the debut performance of Doozers Spacejam DoughnutZ, Dogstooth, the return of Damidge, Nukli, and The Tea Project.

Also confirmed are Blackmax and the Pirates, Jazz Morley, Miser on the Faerie Gump, Mouthful of Ashtrays, Trash Monroe, Roisin, Roskrow, Earthmass, Dubbdogg, and Fred & Al.

Early bird tickets are priced at £37.25 per person all weekend including camping, a teen ticket is priced at £22 with kids free.

The festival will be on the beach with an indoor stage overlooking the sea from the Bar. There will be a variety of local and not so local foods available, plenty of crafts, healing and activities for everyone including a Kids Area full of fun things to do and make, as well as workshops available. The festival will also offer real toilets and warm showers, and welcomes campervans.
