Derby Folk Festival adds a dozen more acts

The Carrivick Sisters, Jez Lowe and The Bad Pennies, Martin Simpson, Steve Turner, Phillip Henry and Hannah Martin, The Finest Kind, Dana & Susan Robinson, David Gibb and Elly Lucas, Cardboard Fox, Sarah Matthews and Maria Whatton, and Sunjay Brayne have been added to the line-up for  Derby Folk Festival 2014 which takes place at Assembly Rooms, Derby, in Derbyshire next year from Friday 3rd to Sunday 5th October 2014.

Kate Rusby will headline Sunday closing the festival with a live concert, and Show of Hands return to headline the festival on Saturday, the opening night headliner has not yet been announced. Patron Lucy Ward has also been added to the bill

Also confirmed for the eighth year of the festival are Coope Boyes & Simpson, Folk 3D Showcase, Lester Simpson, Merry Hell, and Winter Wilson. 

Early bird tickets will be priced at £69 for the weekend and are expected on sale soon. 

The festival also offers free camping, stalls, cheap beers, real ales, hot food, and proper toilets., The folk event not only fills the Assembly Rooms, but also hosts events in the Guildhall Theatre, Market Place and the city streets of Derby.
