John Otway, and Chris Helme are the latest acts to be announced for Galtres Parklands Festival held over three days this year on August bank holiday weekend, from Friday 22nd to Sunday 24th August 2014 at Duncombe Park, Helmsley, near York, in North Yorkshire.

Festival organisers are hoping also to be able to show John Otway's new film. In order to celebrate his 60th birthday in 2012, John booked the Odeon Leicester Square to show the documentary of his life. Titled 'Rock and Roll's Greatest Failure: Otway the Movie', the sell-out screening saw cinematic history made with the final scenes of the movie being filmed from the red carpet on the morning of the film. The film was funded by fans becoming producers who were all individually credited in the movie credits.

2013 has seen Otway take the completed movie to the Cannes Film Festival and it has been screened in cinemas throughout the country, and eFestivals highly recommends it, as it's well worth seeing.

Bellowhead, and Levellers are the first headliners announced for this the 10th year.

Expect a full programme of entertainment on five stages of music and cabaret, loads for kids to do from film making to music workshops, and all set in a rural setting overlooking the Vale of York. Music ranges from chart-topping bands to local emerging talent, ranging from pop and acoustic to jazz, blues and ska. Comedy, theatre and offbeat performances at the night cabaret, films, family camping and clean loos too.

An early bird adult weekend ticket is priced at £82, young person (aged 5 -15 years) tickets are priced at £29, a family ticket (2 adults and up to three children) is priced at £246.

Weekend festival tickets can be bought in two instalments, spreading the cost over six months or more, and also saving £10. Pay half now, and the balance by 1 July 2014. The deal guarantees a reduced rate of £85 for a ticket.

Day tickets will be available at a later date. A camping (per tent) ticket is priced from £15 to £45 depending upon size of tent.
